80/20 For A Better Life

There are a few key things that can have a disproportionately positive effect on our lives. These are things that I’ve promoted for years. Not many people are consistent in these practices. But I know that it works. So, I write about them. And I will keep writing about them.

Here they are:

  • Meditation
  • Reading
  • Dream analysis
  • Emotional processing

I see these things as a sort of nutrition for the soul and mind. Everyone on some level understands that good nutrition is a fundamental requirement for a healthy body. But not many people consider their spiritual, emotional, and mental health in the same way.

Soul nutrition, mental well-being and emotional equanimity are just as important as physical nutrition—maybe even more so. Make sure that you feed your soul by meditating and listening to your dreams. Make sure that you feed your heart by feeling what’s there. And make sure you feed your mind with good books.
